Compulsory Levels

Note: Level 5 gymnasts may use either A-C-A or A-B-A when executing their Floor Exercise routine.

The specified bonus, unless otherwise indicated, completely replaces the numbered skill/sequence directly above it.

The routine below is written from the A-C-A perspective.

  1. Start in corner A facing C and run and hurdle to front handspring

    Performance Guidelines: A rebound after the handspring is allowed.

  2. Step forward with either leg and kick to a momentary handstand, then perform a straight arm roll out
  3. Pike (stoop) up to a momentary handstand

    Performance Guidelines: A hold is allowed on the handstand.

  4. ½ pirouette in handstand

    Performance Guidelines: The pirouette must be completed in 1 or 2 hand placements.

  5. Pike down to a straight arm back extension roll and lower to pancake

    Performance Guidelines: The extension roll must be either tucked or piked. A momentary hold of pancake is required, but a 2 second hold is allowed.

  6. Sit up facing A and close legs to a pike and roll back to candlestick

    Performance Guidelines: The gymnast must show full body extension while moving through the candlestick position. A hold is allowed on the candlestick.

  7. Roll forward to straddle stand, jump (from toes) to a straight arm straddle press to handstand

    Performance Guidelines: A momentary hold of the handstand is allowed.

    Specified Bonus: From candlestick position in #6 perform a straight arm bent body press to handstand from straddle stand OR an Endo roll to handstand (a momentary hold of the handstand is required, and a hold is allowed on the straddle L and handstand)

  8. Straight arm roll out to stand and jump (with feet together) to two-foot takeoff front headspring
  9. Lift either leg while executing a ¼ turn to cartwheel, side chassé, cartwheel
  10. ¼ to lunge facing corner A. Perform a front scale then step forward to a lunge with the elevated leg and do a ½ turn sliding the subordinate leg towards the lead leg of the lunge, closing the legs in a stand facing corner C

    Performance Guidelines: On the lunge, the front foot should be slightly turned out, and the back leg should be straight with the balance foot's heel remaining down. The scale must be held for 2 seconds with the chest and leg at horizontal.

  11. Run and hurdle to round off, back handspring, rebound to stand

    Specified Bonus: Run and hurdle to round off, back handspring, back handspring, rebound to stand
