Compulsory Levels

Note: The Base Score is divided in half, making each routine worth 4.6.

Level 5

Pommel Horse

This event will be performed and evaluated on two separate apparatus, the mushroom and pommel horse. The routines may be performed in either order.

The specified bonus, unless otherwise indicated, completely replaces the numbered skill/sequence directly above it.

The routine below may be reversed in its entirety.

Performance Guidelines: For the entire exercise the cutting leg should be at a minimum height of horizontal at the top of the swing for all leg cuts, and on all false scissors and scissors the top leg should be at least horizontal.

  1. From a stand with legs together and facing the side of the horse with one hand on the end and one hand on the pommel, jump to support while cutting left leg forward
  2. Single leg travel up to the pommels finishing in front support
  3. Cut left leg forward to right false scissor. Cut left leg forward to stride swing
  4. Cut left leg backward
  5. Cut right leg forward to left false scissor
  6. Cut right leg forward to stride swing
  7. Specified Bonus: Cut right leg forward to left scissor to #9 (dismount) (A cumulative deduction of 0.4 on the bonus sequence will result in no bonus awarded. On the scissor the top leg should be at least horizontal)

  8. Cut right leg backward
  9. Cut left leg forward
  10. Cut right leg forward with legs joining in front to stand facing away from the horse

    Performance Guidelines: A regrasp of pommel during dismount is allowed.

Mushroom

Note: The mushroom is divided into quadrants, the routine is written for clockwise circles, and the routine may be reversed in its entirety.

The body should show a stretched position throughout the exercise.

  1. Step to side and jump to one double leg circle
  2. One double leg circle
  3. Circle with a spindle (90° counter turn left) to front support

    Performance Guidelines: The spindle should be initiated with support on the right hand.

  4. Circle with a spindle (90° counter turn left) to front support

    Performance Guidelines: The spindle should be initiated with support on the right hand.

  5. One double leg circle

    Specified Bonus: One double leg circle, flaired circle, double leg circle

  6. Flank dismount
