Compulsory Levels

Note: Level 6 gymnasts are to use A-C-A-C when executing their Floor Exercise routine.

The specified bonus, unless otherwise indicated, completely replaces the numbered skill/sequence directly above it.

The routine below is written from the A-C-A-C perspective.

  1. Start in corner A facing C and run and hurdle to round off, back handspring to a

    Specified Bonus: Add a second back handspring

  2. Back salto, tucked

    Performance Guidelines: Salto at head height

  3. Tucked or piked back extension roll with straight arms and lower down to prone position. Raise hips and bring leg forward to front split

    Performance Guidelines: A 2 second hold of the split is required.

  4. Press up to straddle stand, or directly from the split position, bent body straddle press to handstand. Step down and turn to face corner A

    Performance Guidelines: The gymnast must maintain straight arms throughout either press. A momentary hold of the handstand is required, but a 2 second hold is allowed.

    Specified Bonus: From the front split, roll forward to Endo roll to handstand (A momentary hold of the handstand is required, and a hold is allowed on the straddle L and handstand).

  5. Run to punch front salto, tucked

    Performance Guidelines: The salto must be at shoulder height. A rebound into the forward roll is not allowed.

  6. Forward roll to stand, deep squat and jump press through pike position (stoop) to handstand with a full pirouette, roll out to stand

    Performance Guidelines: There must be either 3 or 4 hand placements on the pirouette.

  7. Step forward with either leg to a lunge, then perform a front scale, step forward with lifted leg and execute a ½ turn while bringing legs together facing corner C

    Performance Guidelines: On the lunge the front foot should be slightly turned out with the back leg straight and heel down. A 2 second hold of the scale is required with the chest and leg at or above horizontal.

  8. Run and hurdle to front handspring, two foot take-off front handspring (bounder/flyspring), rebound to stand.

    Performance Guidelines:The gymnast ust landing with legs together.
