Compulsory Levels

Level 6

Parallel Bars

The specified bonus, unless otherwise indicated, completely replaces the numbered skill/sequence directly above it.

  1. From stand or short run, glide kip to support
  2. Swing backward to horizontal and bail
  3. Moy to upper arm hang

    Performance Guidelines: The hips must be at bar height at the catch in an open or pike position.

  4. Back uprise to support

    Performance Guidelines: The feet must be above the rails and arms must be straight at completion of the back uprise.

  5. Swing forward (body extended), swing backward to 45° above horizontal and lower to Straddle L-sit

    Performance Guidelines: A 2 second hold of the straddle L-sit is required.

  6. Press out of straddle L-sit to above horizontal

    Performance Guidelines: A hold is allowed

    Specified Bonus: Straight arm, bent body, press to handstand (A momentary hold is required, and a full hold is allowed)

  7. Swing forward, swing backward to handstand and hold for 2 seconds
  8. Swing forward and swing backward to hop at 45° above horizontal with both hands

    Specified Bonus: Swing backward and hop to nominal handstand (A hold is allowed)

  9. Swing forward

    Performance Guidelines: The gymnast's body must be extended with hips at horizontal

  10. Swing backward through handstand with release of either hand and 180° turn over opposite bar to stand (straight body Wende Swing dismount)

    Performance Guidelines: The wende must start before nominal handstand and be performed without hesitation.
