Compulsory Levels

Level 7

Parallel Bars

The specified bonus, unless otherwise indicated, completely replaces the numbered skill/sequence directly above it.

  1. From run or stand, Jump to drop kip
  2. Swing backward to horizontal and bail
  3. Moy to upper arm hang

    Performance Guidelines: The hips must be at bar height at the catch in an open or pike position.

    Specified Bonus:
    · Option 1 - Moy to support with extra swing to "L" support
    · Option 2 - Bail to giant swing with turnover to "L" support (The giant can finish in el-grip prior to hand movement and does not have an angle requirement upon completion of giant.)

    Note: No matter which option the gymnasts chooses, he must skip #4 and hold the L-sit for 2 seconds before beginning #5.

  4. Back uprise to support and 2 second L-sit

    Performance Guidelines: The feet must be above the rails and arms must be straight at completion of the back uprise.

  5. Pike or Straddle press to handstand

    Performance Guidelines: There must be a 2 second hold of the handstand.

  6. Swing forward and swing backward
  7. Layaway to front uprise
  8. Swing backward to nominal handstand
  9. Swing forward and swing backward to pirouette in either direction

    Specified Bonus: Swing backward to early forward or reverse ½ pirouette (The pirouette must start before nominal handstand and be performed without hesitation, finishing in the handstand).

  10. Option 1: Swing backward through handstand with release of either hand and 180° turn over opposite bar to stand (straight body Wende Swing dismount)

    Performance Guidelines: The wende must start before nominal handstand and be performed without hesitation.

    Option 2: Swing forward, swing backward, swing forward to backward tucked or layout salto dismount

    Performance Guidelines: The backward salto must show lift off of the bars.
